Jordan Vauvert L'ancrage à la terre natale fait tout chez Boréalys, à commencer par le nom du groupe qui n'est pas un mot latin déformé mais un mot-valise entre "Boréal" et "Lys", la fleur qui représente le Québec. Là où les eaux se séparent — qui est aussi un endroit en Abitibi — est un superbe black metal teinté de DSBM qui rend en permanence un hommage poignant à la nature sans chauvinisme mal placé. Pour une première démo, Boréalys sait mettre l'eau à la bouche : espérons qu'il produise un album bientôt ! Favorite track: Concerto de minuit.

Nouvelle formation originaire d'Abitibi dans le nord du Québec, BORÉALYS intègre le panthéon du Métal Noir Québécois avec un premier EP aux sonorités épiques et mélancoliques s'inspirant de la force de la Nature, des vastes forêts septentrionales enflammées par les couleurs de l'automne, de la déchéance, de la mort et de la liberté du Nord. Composé d'Abstrus (ex-Brumes) aux chants/guitares, Julius (Black Empire) à la batterie, et K. (Wendess) à la basse, le groupe propose un Black Metal atmosphérique mid-tempo épuré et immersif.
Uniquement en français, Boréalys rend hommage à ses ancêtres, sa culture, et l'histoire de son terroir.

Hailing from the Northen Quebec region of Abitibi, BORÉALYS joins the Metal Noir Quebecois pantheon with a first EP infused in epic and melancholic soundcapes inspired by Nature, vast northern forests set ablaze by the colors of autumn, decay, death and freedom of the North. Composed of Abstrus (ex-Brumes) on vocals/guitars, Julius (Black Empire) on drums, and K. (Wendess) on bass, the band plays refined and immersive mid-tempo Atmospheric Black Metal.
Entirely in French, Boréalys pays homage to its ancestors, its culture, and the history of its land.
